Your Autonomic Nervous System is not a Freakin’ Ladder
Saturday September 19, 2026: 8-11 am PT
Despite what you may have been told, the ANS is not a ladder, or a line, or a stoplight, for the simple reason that it is not a simple linear system. The clinical reality of autonomic state is a 3-variable reality, and this has fundamental implications for how we understand our own experience, and how we view others through an autonomic lens.

Breaking the Stasis in the Polyvagal Controversy
Saturday November 7, 2026: 8-10 am PT
Polyvagal Theory has profoundly influenced clinical practice, but recent publications (Grossman et al., 2026) have challenged the theories foundations, leaving many clinicians unsettled. In this training we review the major tenets of the critique, places we think PVT still holds water, explain why we think the debate is UNRESOLVABLE as currently articulated, and how it could be reformulated to answer the question through an experimentally testable hypothesis.
