An autonomic state is an energy-processing template through which your experience flows. The autonomic nervous system is constantly taking the temperature of your experience, and tuning your body and mind to respond to your inner and outer environment in each and every moment. It shapes the river of energy flowing through your body and mind.
Its first priority is your survival. The body is very severe in re-shaping this river of energy if it believes our survival is at stake. What we think of as stress is the body's response to danger and lifethreat changing the shape of the banks of this river of energy flowing through us.
The Autonomic Nervous system can sculpt our neurology when we are under threat into a raging river, or calm it into a tranquil pool when we are safely at rest.
